Bigjigs Toys was founded in 1985 by Peter Ireland in his garden shed in England. At the time, Peter was training to become a Craft Design teacher and began creating wooden toys as a hobby. His craftsmanship quickly gained attention, and friends and family started requesting his handmade toys.
